Clarisa Howard is an accomplished business leader and motivational speaker. Clarisa and her husband built the company bd Systems, Inc. from a three-person operation in 1981 to 325 employees in 2006.

As Co-founder, President and Chief Executive officer, Clarisa successfully transformed bd from an aerospace systems engineering firm to a broad-based, high-technology company, providing technical services, management information systems, and application software for government and private industries. Clarisa is the recipient of numerous awards, including the U.S. Small Business Administration’s District XI “United States Small Business Person of the Year”.

Clarisa created the Clarisa Can coloring book series to share her many life lessons, business experiences, homilies from her mother, and snippets of her childhood and adult life.
